The site is located near the cathedral church of St. Sophia on the move towards the Ancient Theater in a densely populated part of the old city and probably stretches under the surrounding houses.

Archeological site Manchevci
The archaeological site "Manchevci" was partially explored during 2007. After the excavations in the old urban core of Ohrid, an Early Christian basilica was discovered. Parts of the northern and central nave emerged when the 200 m2 area was explored [Ohrid archaeological area].
The site is located near the cathedral church of St. Sophia on the move towards the Ancient Theater in a densely populated part of the old city.

The site "Mancevci" was partially explored during 2007 over which two objects were removed. After the archaeological excavations at this archaeological site in the old urban core of Ohrid an Early Christian basilica was discovered parts of the northern and central nave were also discovered when 200 m² were explored.
The basilica, which is one of the nine basilicas in the city and originates from the 4th-5th century BC has a fairly preserved floor mosaic with a decorative arrangement that was characteristic for the 4th and 5th centuries.

Mosaic floor
The mosaic field, with a donor inscription that mentions Thomas and John (ΥΠΕΡ ΕΥ/ΧΗΣ ΘΩ/ΜΑ ΚΑΙ Ι/ΩΑΝΝΟΥ/ ΚΑΙ ΕΠΟΙ/ΗΣΑΝ) who probably built the facility, is particularly important.
Fragments of frescoes in the lower parts of the walls were also discovered. During the archaeological excavations very important elements of marble construction and decorative plastics were unveiled.
